Can't change the telephone number in the GMB account

Hello all
I have a customer who needs to change his main telephone number for a short while as he cannot be reached. So i wanted to change it, but got denied. I tried adding a second number and got the same denial. Can this be due to the Covid-restrictions? My customer is a dentist.

Hi Bernhard! What about redirecting to another line instead of changing it?
