GMB Service area changes?

Hey all!
I was checking out some of the company's GMB listings that I manage today and saw that the service areas have changed. Instead of being point to point they now show exact counties.

Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone know if this is a bug, test, or will be sticking around?
Some of my businesses have service areas larger than the 20 entry max so this poses an issue for me.

Any input would be appreciated!

I have towns chosen in GMB.

On the knowledge panel of Google results it still shows the entire area highlighted. But when I go to Maps it shows each town highlighted separately.

The map that I have embedded on my website shows the entire area highlighted like always.
