Setting up a SAB in 2024

Hello! I've been trying to track down a current answer on what's the best way to setup a SAB on Google.

Client is okay using their home address, but I know there were some videos from 2023 saying SABs do a lot better with their address exposed. Has any of this changed in 2024? Or do SABs still struggle?

Overall what would be the best way to setup a SAB in 2024?

Yes, many would say that SABs do better showing the address, but that's against Google's rules, so you take your chances. In any case, it's not a matter of being ok using your home address or not; you need to use the legal business address. If that's the home, so be it.

Rankings also depend on competition, industry, and your location. Since the home address is in a residential area, if there aren't many businesses near by, you have a good chance of ranking in that immediate area.

Yeah, the business is for lawn care and the business owner also is opening house cleaning and dog grooming so having the residential address serves us well.

It seems everyone does it around here. Even the large commercial lawn company that put ranks us currently.

If you have permanent signage at the home you might qualify to list the address publicly, but it has to be permanent, so nothing like a lawn sign etc.
