Facebook looks to be ratcheting up the competition with the Knowledge Graph. A while ago they looked like they were going to go into the local listings game with Facebook Places. But I haven't seen a lot of activity on the product since its seemingly soft launch.

Perhaps this is the new approach -

From deciding where to eat, to booking your next hair appointment, to buying movie tickets at the local theatre, Facebook wants to eventually control, or be involved with, every decision you make when it comes to local commerce.

Facebook wants you to buy movie tickets and order pizza from its app - Recode

Has anyone tested this for themselves as consumers or for one of their businesses?

Thanks Margaret,

It's so funny to watch Google, Facebook and Yelp play leapfrog. Someone should make a game to keep score of who added what features when. :p
