Hi Brian,
I've had no luck at all with this. Google's only solution is to mark my practitioner listing as 'Permanently closed". I've just removed all content in the hope that the GMB profile in question isn't served up in SERPs.
Cheers,
Adam
Hi all. One of my clients, a medical practice, is about to expand (currently located at 145 Smith St).
They've purchased a property next door, at which they plan the main entrance/reception to be located (i.e. 143 Smith St). The two properties will be adjoined to act as the one business...
I've been trying to get Google to merge my organisational GMB with a departed practitioner's GMB for about 6 months. Google has explicitly told me this cannot happen as the practitioner "owns" their GMB, not the business.
As I'm the GMB admin for both profiles, Google suggested marking the...
I'd put my money on the loss of backlinks being the reason. One of my client's sites scored a juicy 77 DA backlink recently (industry relevant etc etc). A week later, the site was atop the 3-pack.
The recent Google BERT update may also have something to do with it.
One of the best local SEO tips I've received lately is to add the GS Location Changer Chrome extension to see what search results look like at a specific location (thanks @JoyHawkins ).
Thanks so much for your replies Joy, Colan & Patricia. The practitioner has retired. To get this removed, is it simply a case of requesting a call back from GMB?
Hi Joy et al,
Hoping to get some advice on deleting a GMB 'location'.
I have two GMB locations for the same business address under the one GMB profile: one for my medical clinic and the other for the managing doctor.
I want to remove the managing doctor's location as this doctor has left the...
With my medical practice, I reply to all reviews ASAP - usually within 24 hours.
Whenever practical, I also personally phone patients who have left a negative review (once I have the back story from staff/doctors). This almost always results in the patient changing their 1 or 2-star review to a...
@silverwebmaster
No, nothing. Yet. I contacted the referring site and they had no idea what was going on. Very frustrating as it took a bit of work to get that backlink (guest blog post) and the referring site has a high DA.
Hi Pony,
Heres the page (the link text is 'Doctors of South Melbourne'): Fresh Produce Fights the Winter Blues | South Melbourne Market
I'm relatively new to the whole SEO game, so any additional advice is much appreciated.
Thanks mate,
Adam
Hi all,
Hoping some astute SEO gurus can help me with a random backlink problem.
I managed to get a juicy backlink for a medical client (Doctors of South Melbourne), yet the backlink isn't appearing on Google Console or any tools (ahrefs, Keysearch etc) after around 3 months. I checked the...
Hi all. Is there any benefit in seeking backlinks directly to my GMB page, or should I simply continue seeking backlinks to my website? If the latter, am I correct in presuming the 'Google juice' will indirectly flow to my GMB?
