    Old reviews vanishing?

LOTS of people are experiencing reviews dropping right now. We have seen it for the past couple of weeks. I think they are trying to identify fake/bought reviews, but not 100% That is what I am seeing dropping at the moment.

Google Local update. Temporary bug or permanent?

We have seen some crazy fluctuations in several verticals. Seemed to hit the larger cities like Las Vegas, New York city, Chicago, Bridgeport. I have noticed the Map grid has been fluctuating (zooming in and zooming out) There is almost NO reason why some of these new listings are ranking. BUT I...

The Vicinity Algorithm Update: Is anyone seeing major shifts in local rankings? With reviews being at the focus?

Same here. construction, plumber, law firms have been smashed in a couple of big cities... I have noticed a lot of the newer listings that are now ranking have exact match or partial match domains (website)

How much should I charge for this client's SEO?

I disagree respectfully. There are cheap services, and there are good services in my opinion. I spend 5X that on my expenses for a client. If someone is charging $100/mo they aren't doing much, but copy and paste..lol

    GMB & Bing Places

If your business is verified on Google, I would just sync them. It's going to be easier overall.

Local Maps Strategy. Embedding code on other websites.

Embedding maps do most definitely help with your GMB rankings, BUT I doubt the quality of those sites is good enough to see any improvements. If your clients want to do map embeds, go with a GOOD press release that can offer "do-follow" links. Also, drop your schema markup inside the map embed...

Changed business address without verification! Is that right?

In my opinion, Google could have found the new address on Facebook or other 3rd party sites and made the connection. OR Google rates each GMB with a spam score. The lower the spam score the more you can get away with, changing the name, address, categories, etc...

How much should I charge for this client's SEO?

You have to know what you are worth! If you know you are getting ranked and increasing their business $400/month is way too CHEAP! Does a REAL expert lower his/her prices? Lower prices mean you're not really that good. That's what your customer thinks... 1K/month is the min I would charge.

Is there any benefit in creating citations manually instead of using an aggregator?

Spin your business descriptions so they are at least 50% unique. Then, drop them into Omega Indexer. 90% PLUS of your citations will be indexed... No need to link out on your site or anything.

Anyone used Web 2.0 Ranker Citation Submission Service?

I have used them in the past for some white label services and it was extremely poor quality.

Irrelevant reviews published once we verified a new listing

It's a plumbing company, so I'm assuming they are leaving them at their house. Yeah, it was pretty crazy to see those reviews just pop up immediately after verification. The crazy thing is they even have are google guaranteed, connected to the GMB...

Irrelevant reviews published once we verified a new listing

We recently verified our second location for a plumbing company in New Jersey. The second location has signage and full-time office staff. I created this location from scratch, but when we verified it, all of a sudden 6 reviews published out of nowhere that were completely irrelevant from the...

Would you set up an Architect client with a Hybrid/SAB GMB listing if the location was residential?

GMB listing 10000% ALL THE WAY! Why would you want to kill your reach? Start a SAB and you will get 20% of the exposure on a normal listing. (sad but true) I have yet to see a REAL business with backlinks/citations, a decent website that had a residential address get popped. Just don't overlap...

Google Local Services Ads - Lack of Leads

How much you will show up for with LSA's is based on three factors. 1. Proximity 2. Reviews 3. responsiveness (answering the phone) The estimated lead count is a loose number at BEST. It's just like FB's estimated reach count when you run paid ads. The real number is not even close. I have...

Business Moved Before GMB Verification (Postcard is Being Sent to Old Location)

If it's a brand new listing, just create a new account and close the old one. (worst-case scenario)
