We have access, but every time we click on the account, we just get a "verification processing" message, but can't do anything with the account.

Something triggered GBP "Verification Processing" and we can't access the account, so my client's GBP is in limbo. Whenever we try to make an update we get a "Verification Processing" message and can't do anything. But their account was verified years ago and has been fine up until now. Not sure...

@JoyHawkins because of this, I've just kept the old office address she no longer uses in the larger city (where all her clients are). Just not sure how long I can keep this up!
