Just a quick bump here...My question for service area pages, and service pages below them, if Google is all about the user experience, doesn't it make sense if you truly offer a service in an area, to have a post/page for that area? As an end user, lets say you were looking for an cockroach...
You might also want to add Schema to the areasServed with the sameAs pointing to the wikipedia for that area. It doesn't create a rich result, but I think 2023 will be the year of structured data.
