I reported this in the forum a couple of weeks ago. No one has responded there. https://support.google.com/business/thread/286299287?hl=en&sjid=7031759874269963790-NC
Same thing happening in California with fire protection services websites. So far I've found a couple of dozen but I'm sure there are many, many more, probably in every city in California. I submitted a many-page document cataloging all the evidence they are fake. Google did nothing. Then I ran...
The address has been verified many times with live video even. It's not that.
Yesterday, the client saw the reviews when I did not. Then later some showed up. Last night, the only ones were Yelp's. Today they are all there. So I would agree with you Elizabeth. If the reviews were the problem...
The saga continues. Turns out now they suspended for deceptive content. There was none that we knew of so there was nothing we could do to fix it. No fake reviews, no fake engagement, none of the things Google says falls under that label. There were two bathoom remodeling images that looked...
Turns out that has nothing to do with it. We got verified and 3 weeks later, they're suspended again. NO CHANGES were made. This time they aren't even been shown publicly. Before they were; we just couldn't edit it.
I actually met a Google engineer in person at an event. He told me the same thing. He said they are inundated with requests to most get ignored unless you report it multiple times. I will try that. It's a lot of reporting to do though!! I reported them all in one report. Guess I'll do it one by...
By fake I mean, not real businesses. These are lead-gen businesses with corresponding exact match urls and business names with the same exact match keywords. Every one of them has a verified GBP. Most are in homes, but a couple even managed to get verified at business locations.
The same...
Hah. I think you nailed it. I suspect it was a phone number change. Long story about why that got changed more than once, but it did. I'm instructing my client now to LEAVE IT ALONE! :) Thanks, Joy.
Client gets verified with a video and then a month later they are unverified again. The business is legit, everything Google is looking for. It couldn't be better. No error message. No warning. Nothing. Why is this happening and how do we make it stop?
I see your rationale, but do you really think you'll get that much by having two in the same city? The benefit would be that you'd push someone else out. That's good. But a very real problem is you may be collecting reviews on both GBPs. Would you rather have 5 on each or just one with 10...
Taking this a little further than you asked, I use WhatConverts for tracking. It connects with Google ads and sends REAL conversion data back to google (meaning it will tell Google if that phone call or form submission the business got from a website visitor via an ad turned into an appointment...
Late to the game here, but this is linked to from a Sterling blog post, so I'm going to keep it alive.
I asked this question because I have a landscaper client who is using an office address. The #1 GBP in the city he wants to rank is is a rank and rent site with a fake GBP and likely fake...
Joy, I posted it in the Google GMB forum quite awhile ago. Nothing was done. It's locked there now. Super stubborn violator gets past GMB rules - Google My Business Community
Can't believe these virtual offices still stand. What should I do? Go get a recording of the gatekeeper stating there...
