Good question. I can't find any explicit guidance online regarding a limit (or practical limit) to the number of services a business can or should list on its GBP. We're using Whitespark to manage ours (mainly to prevent unauthorized or detrimental updates to our profiles). Lately, we've been...
I should’ve been clearer: Google said they don’t currently support interior tours in Street View. Not sure why I got hung up on this, but a videography company contacted us about doing these. Tours in the GBP media section would be cool, though.
Happy December, folks!
Does anyone here have evidence for the local search (GBP visibility) impact of including 360-degree video tours of a professional service business on Google Street View? I run marketing for a law firm with 5 offices, and a videography company contacted us recently about...
Thank you. If that's still true, then Google must have removed the numbers themselves -- due either to a fluke or suspicion of nefarious activity. No one with access to our account would remove our number.
Another thought: could pushing updates through to GBP from a third-party listing...
After some more research, I've heard pretty overwhelming anecdotal evidence from law firm SEO peeps that Google doesn't enforce their ban on "irrelevant legal terms" like "LLC" for law firm GBPs, since many states require firms to use their legal business name (including, e.g., LLC, LC, PC, PA)...
All: @Tim Colling mentioned Local Viking had a feature that would notify GBP owners/managers of updates they did not initiate, particularly changes like the business's phone number being removed. Does anyone know of other tools that have this feature or any means of setting up such an alert...
I haven't. Figured I should exhaust my Google research first. I'll hit CallRail up and see if they've had customers with this issue before.
I may be onto something, though. We did some listing optimization work on Monday (the last day our phone number was up) and added a (heretofore...
That's awful. Competitors can just sabotage each other? How does this kind of thing happen?
I re-added our numbers, and Google rejected them, offering no explanation. What gives?
Hi Elizabeth!
We aren't concerned about the FB location pages ranking in search, just with their impact on our GBPs.
Had no idea LLC was prohibited! Would adding "law firm" or "attorneys at law" -- consistently across all our citations/listings and social accounts -- help us at all in search...
Hi. This afternoon, I noticed that one of our office GBPs was inexplicably missing its phone numbers! Both our "regular" and CallRail tracking number were GONE. I checked the number's call history in CallRail, and the last call we got at the number was Monday afternoon! We normally get 5-10...
Hello again,
A couple of times a year, law firm/lawyer/attorney awards come out (today, it's Best Lawyers), and we like to brag about it! The blog templates they provide (which I usually customize) include backlinks to the attorneys' award profiles/listings on their directory site. Seeing how...
Hi friends!
We're looking to strengthen our off-page signals for organic and GBP. Currently, I'm running into a few mental roadblocks re: Facebook. These could be individual topics, but I figured it'd be cleaner to include them all in one post. Here's what I'm trying to crack:
Business name on...
This depends on what you're comparing them to.
If you're comparing your site's pages to each other, then the only thing in the H1 that needs to be distinct from the other (topically identical, but location differentiated) pages is the city name, or whatever your geographic modifier is.
That...
