In this case, the details do matter. Google can be very inconsistent is how they apply their rules, but there's often a reasoning behind their decisions. If you're willing to share what you're trying to add to GBP, we can help diagnose the issue. If not, we really can't make any suggestions.

Have other listings been updated at the same time? If not (or maybe even if they have but Google hasn't had time to reference them yet), my guess would be that the drop/stagnation is caused by NAP inconsistencies
