Re: New Ownership: Joy Hawkins’ Company Sterling Sky, Inc. Has Acquired the Forum
Oh My! Big congratulations and best of luck Linda.
Hope our paths will cross but enjoy your new phase of life.
Sterling Sky crew, it should be an amazing new adventure!
There tend to be a lot of different situations that come up but it is the systemic problem that can be a nightmare, meaning if it is an internal issue that the business fails to address it can go sour quickly.
After lots of success, the worst issue I have encountered was a business on Yelp...
Nice, I let go of a lot of clients in September of 2014 during a revamp. One of my signature clients attended a class I did a few months ago, and I expressed how I'd love to have him back but that he wasn't renewed because he always attempted to jump in and also ignored my advice.
A good client...
Late to the party but we work to get the reviews on different platforms rather than just GMB as part of a long-term strategy.
I haven't seen too much of a problem with any platform except when the user is really, really new with few social signals--and then there is always the odd ball.
I agree with Eric, we have experienced problems with merges sometimes on buildings with multiple suites or booths. Going to the maps people sometimes can clear it up.
In those cases, we've had to make sure the categories, phone numbers, suite numbers and other identifiers are consistent as...

FYI this market is not Internet friendly, they seldom use online tools as it is very old school, face-to-face relationship driven. My market is actually outside of this area but I am testing the model locally and recording the sessions in order to roll it out...
Since we changed our target market, many business don't qualify to be clients so we provide workshops and direction to online training for them. The goal is to get their referrals and the visibility and get them into a recurring subscription. So far it is slow but it has potential.

re: Google "Places" Robocall Scammer - Caught in Lies!
Funny...and yeah, diligent and good at working at getting the decision maker's name. Very polite guy!

I've had luck with getting reviews out of the filter and removed when they are fake.
We monitor review sites of our clients. A lot of times a fake reviewer will post a couple of places OR they get syndicated across platforms. Terms of service usually does not allow the same review in multiple...
I had the same issue in the dashboard where I had a few businesses but just left it untouched as we had verified all and got the word changes are happening now. This dashboard had been updated but the info was all scrambled.
Then our other account had what both Phil and Linda faced...places was...
