There's just no replacement for what is lost here. You can narrow down the topic of a particular page to an expert degree but, in the end, you do not know why the visitor landed on that page. Is it because they entered a query that has something to do with your page? Or is Google in the middle...
I was exaggerating with that .000001 number but from what I've seen it all depends on the query (of course).
For some clients, they get a good chunk of visits from Local. Others not so much. Either way, I'd rather be in Local than nothing at all.
Why spend all that time and effort on a Places dashboard where there are also G+ Local pages? So Plus Loca and Places can be merged, or not. Seems to prolong the confusion and the inevitable G+ takeover.
