Logged into a clients GMB and saw they crossed out the old category, alternative medicine practitioner, and added this one, Cannabis store. How do you find out when Google does this stuff?
Question is, why did they only add Cannabis Store? Don't they know the industry is of two parts, medical...
Yeah I am using moz as well. I'm not seeing this with any other location that uses moz though, at least not yet. Only one, it's was renewal purchase and within a month it started happening.
I started noticing random strings, example; sitename/denver/#xxxxxx/ being added to my website link in GMB.
It's only being added to one of the locations in GMB.
I called Google and asked them how/why this was being added and they told me to remove the city name and send the links to my home...
I feel you could get better results with one long-tail keyword. As previously stated above, it's not good for click through rates.
Also, how will you know which keyword they like if you have two?
I like to combine multiple keywords together if possible. Give it a try once. Take each keyword...
I sort of cringe when I hear directory and packages lol
Sounds like a good idea. I find it hard to offer packages since most have different circumstances.
I do all of these things for my clients monthly and just charge hourly. Except the directory thing you mentioned, it has to be super...
About 3 weeks ago I made some on page changes. Switched a few keywords around and added some local signals to location page to test.
I was going to make a local city page but then thought why not make onpage keyword signals front heavy since the name pueblo is in there anyway. Keyword + Pueblo...
Hey Linda, it's definitely not on the business license.
I will change it. It shouldn't be too hard to get all NAP consistent.
One client has like 50 citations, mentions and the other less. I'm wondering if I should be looking for anything after the NAP has been changed? Besides the obvious...
Google States:
Location information, such as neighborhood, city, or street name, unless it is part of your business's consistently-used and recognized real-world representation. Your name must not include street address or direction information.
Some of my clients have business name + city...
Hey Guys/Gals,
I have noticed my clients business showing up in the local pack for the city next to his location for certain keywords.
How is it possible I'm ranking local pack for the city next to my clients location?
What factors should I be looking at? What else would contribute to this...
I'm in the "green" industry.
I was looking at a client who has two locations, each with a different service. One is Recreational and the other is Medical. They are approximately 30 miles apart.
The only difference between rec and med products is the percentage level of ingredients and the way...
Hey guys, thanks for the input. I did a 90 day test with a different category and of course all it did was rank for that category :) More clicks, high bounce rate, more non relevant calls and searches etc. Pretty cut and dry.
So I'm just sticking with one and not going to worry about it...
Hey everyone, I hope all is well :)
What are best practices when GMB doesn't have an exact category for my local business?
Currently when I trigger local pack I see 3 locations all using different categories.
Most of which do not make sense and are only, kind of, sort of, ok lol
I have...
GMB page, location/category page, contact page, home page for example are all part of the cluster correct?
For each individual location we have a cluster of pages.
From a UX/common sense standpoint I want to put them there anyway I just wanted to be sure it wouldn?t hurt my client in anyway...
