I have a client that's essentially changing their name from Tom & Jerry's to Ben & Jerry's.
They have great reviews and great rankings locally for their niche. Everything's going well. Obviously, I'll have to manually update the majority of the citations we've built.
I'm curious if...
It's a really big deal. I just did a domain change for a client that couldn't rank in the metropolis because their physical location is in a small city which is within the metropolis.
Their original URL contained "smallcity+keyword", we changed it to "metropolis+keyword" and very quickly they...
So I just read this older thread which confirms what I've been seeing for a while. We have a business located in a small city literally surrounded by a huge metropolis. Which has made it difficult to rank to say the least.
