This issue has been resolved by itself. Support was asking me to provide a video recording of the problem - by that time, however, things started working fine.
We've got a weird thing happening with a client. They have a number of verified GMBs for their physical offices in a few states. For some reason, their virtual care links are automatically being adjusted by Google to the wrong state URL.
This seems like a problematic algo-based glitch. Are...
Looking for others' experience with the following:
A client has a Google business.site page which is linked in mobile search results (the Website button next to Call, Directions, Save in the GMB SERP listing).
We've tried to make it go to the regular site, but it doesn't seem to work. Other...
Hey guys, figured I'd pick your collective brains on a recent issue. We've got a client whose official business number reaches an extension directory (common for larger companies). This means that whenever we try to verify a listing somewhere like Apple Maps, the PIN never reaches them.
Are...
Not really - just takes the user to nowhere in Maps?
While all is fair in war (and SERPs are undoubtedly a battleground to some) I think it'd be silly for Google to disqualify SMBs based on being run from a private home. Many legitimate small businesses operate out of their house. If your...
It was only a matter of time before Google tried to squeeze more out of local businesses. AdWords management still relies on middlemen (agencies) which makes the sales funnel longer to secure the advertising money. By making it easier for business owners to pay for their own enhanced presence on...
+1 here. Based on experience, I simply don't trust Google to properly evaluate & rank a location with no physical address. Even listing a home address (which tends to be the office location for most small service businesses here in our local market) works out better than hiding the physical...
So, any findings? I'm curious about this as well.
Generally speaking - is there such a thing as a 'natural link' to a GMB page? I suppose a popular local company/place that has no official website might have people linking to its GMB place, but what about companies with a website available?
This is critical. If the office moved to a new neighborhood/zip code, the loss of rankings is logical & unavoidable. In some ways you're almost starting fresh. A press release noting the move & the reason for it may help. Maintain the same local SEO activities that brought you success at the old...
On one hand, Google loves its own products, and there may be some benefit to using the plus codes for local search. On the other, I think any exploitation will get it nixed pretty quickly. Just following to see if anyone does any tests ;)
