I have to agree, I was one of those people :). It is not that bad and local is still as powerful as it used to be. I think there is even a very good outcome to this story. Now I tell my clients that due to this update I need to work more, therefore the price has to be higher.... :)

It has been almost 2 months since this update. So what do you think guys and gals? Did it screw up local SEO as much as we suspected?

It is from my Samsung 10" tablet. Search query "hvac contractors", location Brooklyn NY. It shows 7 results, they just don't fit all on a screen. And it has a map on top of local pack.

I just did a local search on my tablet and it had old style 7-pack results. Here is screenshot. Do you think tablets haven't been affected yet or are they actually reversing it?

Nice, from 10 organic listings only 2 are actual businesses... I recall someone in Google promised to address this issue like a year ago....

I've had 5 reviews for awhile already, and yesterday another customer left 6th review, but still, no reviews in knowledge graph... Google "Ingenious SEM" to see for yourself.

Interesting topic (like everything else on this forum :), Anybody knows how many reviews a business has to accumulate so those reviews would start showing in local knowledge graph? I have 6 and still don't see them.
