Yeah, we work with mostly various home service providers and when we create a new GBP, we'll usually get a phone call verification which will go through, and then immediately the listing will require a video verification which will go through, and then the listing will be suspended and require a...
We have a business where the GBP (and website and social profiles,) were deleted by a past marketing agency after trying to break ties with them. The GBP had over 100 reviews and ranked well. Is there any way to get the GBP back, or at least get the reviews transferred to a new profile...
Is there a good way to do this? Should we toggle on the address, change it, and then hide the address again? I've heard that it doesn't actually save the change when you do that.
Hi! We work with a service business who came to us with an already verified GBP. It's set up (correctly) as a service area business and they are unsure what address it was originally verified with (they've moved a few times). However, the listing was just suspended, and we need to submit...
We recently had a client cancel our services, so we invited them to own their GBP and removed our account from the listing. My coworker says she thought she made sure they had access before removing our account, but she can't be sure. We got a call from them soon after that their GBP has...
Does your core business information exactly match what's on your business documents? Do you have a set service area, and if so, does any of that service area overlap with your other locations? Have you checked for duplicate profiles floating around? Is all of your core business information...
Yeah, that's definitely a scam. To get to the appeal form, did you click a link in an email they sent? If so, the appeal form wasn't real, which is how they got the info. It's probably been a scam from the start.
I'm not an expert in scams or anything, but I would be wary of any personal...
jvaquino's advice is right on the money. However, are you sure the email you quoted came from Google? It seems odd and like it might actually be a scam.
We've seen this recently too. It's maddening. If they are cracking down on spam, why not do that in the verification process instead of having the verification process go through and then immediately suspending the listing? (I know no one here actually speaks for Google, that's more a rhetorical...
I guess it's possible, although it seems unlikely that's happened several times. Also all of the reviews, photos, etc are still there?
The one from May also had a duplicate merged into it around the same time, so that might also be affecting it.
Especially the one from a few months back...
It's happened to multiple businesses. There was one several months ago, one in early May, one just last week. All service area businesses. We figured maybe the first one was a fluke, and maybe we haven't given the one from last week enough time, but it seems like a pattern is developing.
If the listings are in the same or similar categories, usually one will be filtered out. If they are completely unrelated businesses and the only thing in common is the address, you should be fine. Think of how many different businesses share an office building with the same address.
We've noticed two things happening recently. The first is that several of our listings are getting suspended out of nowhere recently. Getting them reinstated isn't difficult because there was no reason they should be suspended in the first place. However, after getting reinstated, we've noticed...
Your listing has "Apartments Draper" in the name, so I would guess you're getting a bump for that exact keyword match when you search apartments draper, but not when you search draper apartments.
I didn't do a ton of research, but I didn't find the same discrepancy when I searched for your...
