That's a great idea, @Phil Rozek ! I'm going to look into those, especially the second and third options. Hopefully that will help. One thing I am noticing, though, is that this seems to be happening with other photographers as well. A quick look for "headshot photographer" in the LA area showed...
@Phil Rozek Thanks for the input, Phil! That's the funny thing about all this--the site is pretty minimal. We're working on adding additional pages, but the site really only has a homepage, a contact page, and one or two location pages. We're still revising the content, but as of now it's all...
Hi,
I have a relatively new client (a photography studio) who is ranking in the wrong cities. His goal is to rank in the Philly suburbs, which is where the studio is located. His rankings/traffic in that area are fine, however, he's been receiving a lot of qualified leads from all over the...
Ugh...that's incredibly frustrating that they keep giving you those canned responses. Either way, thanks for the update. Hopefully this will get resolved soon...
Just to chime in--I've been noticing this too. It's weird, because one of my clients has 5 GMB profiles but the Posts only seem to get rejected for the same single profile over and over. The same post is accepted in the other profiles--same image, details, everything.
This leads me to believe...
@michaelrosa640 This is all great info! I don't know why I didn't suspect a third-party influence in the first place. Thanks so much for sharing this--I'll give it a try!
Thanks for the input! Yeah, I was sort of afraid it was just a UI issue as well. I'll try to bring it to Google's attention in the forum, but for now I guess I'll have to mark this off as a nice little "perk" of using GMB. Thanks again!
Is anyone else having an issue with how Google is showing info about COVID testing? I have a client who does testing by appointment only. We marked this off in the Health & Safety attributes (even though I think that pertains to all appointments, not just COVID testing). It looks like GMB is...
I tried to set it up about a week ago, thinking maybe they've ironed out the bugs since launch. I was very, very wrong. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to migrate things, and the re-verification step is still part of the process. In my opinion, it's not worth the trouble--but I only manage...
I have a client in a similar situation, and I completely agree with Joy. The client serves English- and Spanish-speaking residents, so we made sure each page on the site is available in both languages, made sure hreflangs were in place, etc. For GMB, we just have an English version and that...
I've actually seen a lot of variation recently--for instance, one location took over 2 weeks, while another one arrived in 4 days. The former was in early April while the latter was just last week, so maybe it was something affected by COVID-19 that's on it's way to being resolved.
I've seen this fairly recently as well, but it's been very sporadic (and I can't replicate it when I try). Maybe it's in testing? Have you seen it across the board for clients or is it a one-off thing?
Hey there,
I'm helping out a non-profit community health center with one office, but multiple practices. In other words, they have a dental team, a women's health team, and a pediatrics team all working under the same roof as part of one entity. Currently, they have a GMB profile for each...
I've noticed something like this in the past with clients that have different locations with only a slight difference in the name due to location (ex: Business Name of New York, Business Name of Chicago, etc.) In most cases, Google was good about serving up the right location in the packs when...
