From one extreme at Yelp to another at Google regarding reviews. When businesses get reviews from a majority of customers that have never done on it seems that the informed customer will see through it. If anyone hears of any changes, sure would appreciate an update.
Where can I find the Google policy that discourages the use of review funnels to redirect less than exemplary reviews? And does anyone know of any penalty for a business in violation of review guidelines or is it just a suggestion?
Could someone explain the different symbols you sometimes see on Google Maps? Some seem to have a "smiley face," others with what appears to be a key over a car symbol? Is there a list of the various symbols and their significance?
Thanks in advance
Wow and they own three of the first 10 organic positions in the Hartford CT metro market too. That is one huge formidable foe, but certainly relevant to the search term. David & Golieth comes to mind. Can't imagine how we might help but please reach out if there's something others can do.
So if you're simply running display ads that just happen to show up on Yelp in addition to dozen's of other sites what do you mean by your"targeting" comment above?
I've never heard of a review becoming "unfiltered." Do they have to contact Yelp after adding photos, doing more reviews, etc., or are you suggesting that it later happens just as result of doing what your clients recommend to the reviewers?
Thoughts that come to mind after downloading the Citymaps app:
What's behind the initial "visual ranking" on the map or why do some businesses show while others don't unless you drill down? Is this Google Maps all over again with a correlation in number of citations, optimized website, etc...
This plumber with a single location has done a great job of keeping multiple locations despite notifications to Google that they are bogus locations. Whoever created their website really knows what they're doing and seems to have been one step ahead of Google for years.

I seem to think that the insights are waaay overstated. And I wonder, do you think the time will ever come when we can upload our own Virtual tour?
