Google will wait 72 hours and if there is no response to the email they will grant your request. I would recommend requesting "ownership" versus manager though. Hope this helps!

I wanted to respond as I may have had an even better experience. I have a client that had no idea who the owner of his GMB was, I went in to do a "change of ownership" and got immediate access due to having the site verified in my Search Console account! This has to be new, right? Anyone else...

Did you do That recently? would recommend removing the short name. Then recheck. I believe there are still known issues with short names.

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE! I try to go to at least one a year, they are constantly updating their content and teaching the latest and greatest for Local SEO. Best money spent by far from any other conference/meet up etc.
