Hi There. I'm having some challenges with identifying the best approach for categories for campgrounds. These campgrounds all have cabins, but one has an actual motel on site. We have not used the "hotel" category, as we aren't able to solve the pricing integration, though Google has been displaying campgrounds like hotels on its own from time to time. The categories we are using include: Campground, RV Park, Camping Cabin. My question is really how to approach this, particularly with regards the the campground that has a motel on site. Can we do nested profiles? Hotel located in campground? There can be separate phone numbers, but the website is the same for both. I appreciate your thoughts! Thank you.

I just saw you on another thread and after reading this situation I think a "located in" tag may work here! If the motel has a distinct name and you have legal documents for that name, you can make the motel its own GBP and use the "motel" category.

Thank you so much for your expertise, Elizabeth. I do believe we can also do a separate address - officially. 2 different addresses. 2 differe phone numbers. Same website. Same online booking system. Do you still think the "located in." ? I'm having a difficult time with campgrounds in generatl because they are like a nesting box of businesses! Many also have golf cart rentals, kayak rentals, pickleball, etc.

I think the key here is if the business/facility has a separate address, name, and phone number, they may qualify for additional GBPs. I don't think something like a pickleball court would qualify for a separate GBP, but if the golf cart rental and kayak rental places are legally separate businesses AND you have proof to back that up, then they may qualify. You need to have separate GBPs to nestle them as "Located in" the campground.

However, since campgrounds have the same setup as hotels, I am not sure how this feature would work with such a listing type.

Thanks for your additional insight. This is very helpful. The campground as a hotel is a challenging piece. We haven't selected hotel as a category, but we are often displayed like a hotel, but because we don't use that category, we dont' have the same optimizations within GBP. It is a conundrum!
