I wanted to seek your opinion on a specific practice regarding professional listing platforms. If a business displays Google Business Profile (GBP) reviews on other professional listing platforms (e.g., Birdeye, Zillow, Experience, etc.), does Google consider this as duplicate content?

Additionally, if the content or reviews shown on these third-party professional listing platforms overlap with the information already available on the business’s GBP listing:
  • Could this trigger duplicate content issues?
  • Would it impact the rankings of the GBP listing on Google Search or Maps?
I’m curious to know whether this is considered a best practice or if it could potentially harm the business’s GBP performance.

Looking forward to hearing your insights!

I don't think so, it would only affect those review aggregators themselves, since the review was originally written on Google and they are "copying" it onto their website. But I would assume these services have the correct Schema in place to denote that the reviews are indexed from Google and are not original content.
