Hey guys! I would appreciate your help or thoughts about a situation we're facing.
We're running LSA for a personal injury law firm across an entire state. We had an excellent performance in the past: over 800 leads per month with an Absolute top impression rate of around 48%. But over the last 3 months, our performance has been decreasing month over month, and we're now generating around 300 leads with an Absolute top impression rate of around 38%.
One thing we’ve been considering is whether lead rating has played a role in this decline. Around the same time the drop started, we began rating most leads (both qualified and unqualified). Concerned that the negative ratings might be sending bad signals to LSA, we stopped marking leads as poor two months ago and switched to rating all leads as positive (even marking as booked) to try and give the automated system stronger/great signals. We also increased the budget from $55k/week to $70k/week, but despite these efforts, performance continues to fall week over week.
Of course, we have made sure that we're on track with everything else to follow "best practices":
- Targeting several counties
- All business verifications are on track
- All calls and messages are answered
- Receiving 5–8 GBP reviews per week, and responding to all
- GBP rating of 4.9 stars
- Strong budget in place
- Positive lead rating, adding real values when marking as booked
- Plenty of photos uploaded to the profile
Given all this, we’re starting to think competition may be a big factor since our Absolute Top Impression Rate has been trending down. Do you think testing Manual Bidding with a high custom bid could help us stay more competitive?
We feel like we’re doing everything we can, but nothing seems to be working. What do you think could be driving this sudden performance drop? Any insights would be super helpful!
