I have at least 2 or 3 clients who no longer live/work at the address they used to verify their GBP. These business owners are not showing the address on their GBP.

However, when I run certain reports, such as in BrightLocal, and select the business (via their Maps URL), the centroid for the map marker is VERY far away from where the business is currently located and the area in which they want to rank.

With all of the suspensions and video re-verifications going on, I'm leary about having them update the address, even if they have two documents such as an LLC and utility bill in the business name at the "new" location (in case that documentation is needed).

Does anyone have experience with this and/or suggestions to make? Thanks!
 
BrightLocal doesn’t know where the profile was originally verified; it’s likely just using the centroid of the main city the business serves.

Be cautious when changing the address of an SAB. If the update isn’t done correctly, the profile might never rank in the new area or could take a very long time to recover. This guide explains how to move an SAB safely: http://sterlingsky.ca/move-your-sab-without-destroying-rankings/
