I've seen it recently as Google is doing a push for department listings within automotive. Like others, edits I have suggested there have never gone through. Contacting support still gets department listings nested properly within a day.

Does the buy/sell agreement cover digital entities at all? Does it include use of the old phone number? I would double check that before anything else. The buy/sell agreement has usually spelled out what you can do with references to the older business. that will usually drive the strategy.

Interesting. I'm really curious to see about this replicating when you cannot delete some of those old social channels. We come across this problem a lot in our vertical, but it's not always possible to delete those social channels during a name change or a buy/sell.
