Where would you mark a business as temporarily closed (that you don't own)? All I see is the "suggest an edit" option under the hours section and it'll let you adjust each day of the week.
There are a couple of closed businesses ahead of us in map rankings that are closed indefinitely due to covid (according to their websites). Their GMB listings still haven't been updated, and any edits to hours I suggest seem to automatically be declined. Is there another way to do this?
That's a great idea, but the store doesn't have its own GMB account so it's not on Google maps. Should it have its own account? It's a part of the museum but is a full fledged store.
Our museum website has a GMB profile and is on a separate domain from our retail store which is at the same location. What would be the best practice to let Google know that the retail store is actually the same business? Right now if you'd search for the store, you wouldn't see the museum's...
