How to report a temporarily closed business?

There are a couple of closed businesses ahead of us in map rankings that are closed indefinitely due to covid (according to their websites). Their GMB listings still haven't been updated, and any edits to hours I suggest seem to automatically be declined. Is there another way to do this?

@Jon123, how come you're trying to edit the hours and not mark those businesses as "temporarily closed" or "permanently closed"?

Those reporting options sound more applicable, based on what you describe, and Google sometimes does accept those edits.

Where would you mark a business as temporarily closed (that you don't own)? All I see is the "suggest an edit" option under the hours section and it'll let you adjust each day of the week.

If you click "Suggest an Edit", click "Close or Remove" and you should see an option there for temporarily closed.
