    Red Attributes text

@ibweb - the problem disappeared as mysteriously as it appeared.

Can't get GMB to 100% it keeps asking for me to add a logo, but I have a logo.

Really annoying for those of us who like to get details right; I'm convinced it's an "undocumented feature", aka bug. Has been there for many months. If that were the only UF in GBP, I'd be thrilled to bits.

    Red Attributes text

Hi all, Does anyone know what the deal is with sticky red text on the attributes section? I have cleared the attributes (so there are none), I've tried multiple attributes (all relevant for the biz), I've tried negative attributes, etc. Each time the text turns red again within 24 hours...

Why Are Videos for GMB Posts Rejected?

@Ryan Steinolfson @Conor Treacy It's my feeling the AI tool used to analyse the vids is either broken or is so tightly dialled down it's not working. Have attempted a range of vids, including a think with Google marketing vid (made by Google), and the video gets rejected.

Has anyone used the call option to verify business on their GMB listing?

I have used the text option recently, and that worked well. Has been a while since I used the call option but when I did, that worked.

Ranking well outside of area -- but not necessarily near business

Hi @tracies - This is not uncommon, and it's usually based on Google "learning" what it thinks you're looking for and giving it to you. Google will also give different results when a search is performed from exactly the same spot but on different devices. Remember the algo is designed to give...

Google rule for collecting reviews from a dedicated tablet inside a store ?

@Phil Rozek - Phil you win the quote of the century with "Google's policies and its enforcement are two very different things."

Ranks better for (city name) than for near me . . .which means....?

Do you have a page set up for the "near me" search?

    Events in Knowledge Panel listing

Hi @valentinb13 Google isn't inclined to remove events at this stage; instead they're simply putting up the notice. If you have control of all the places the events are listed, I'd suggest removing them from the platforms as your first step in trying to clear them. As @Rich Owings suggested...

GMB owner - impact on positions?

Hi @Norbert Z. Generally the answer is no. That said, if the owner/manager account has had really bad behaviour, then the listing can be impacted - usually suspended. If the account is in good standing, then no, there's no impact.

    GMB listing link

Hi Janell It's not crazy to link your website to your GMB listing, it's good practice. The GMB listing link comes in a number of forms - the maps link, the CID, the placeID and the Profile short name. The last one is probably the easiest. You can create your profile short name on the listing...

LLC & Google My Business Listing Showing Ownership

Hi @DigitalMarketer I haven't seen Google add the name of the business owner on any listing, unless the biz owner puts their name in to the system. Google may create an association between the business owner's name and the business, but it doesn't alter the GMB display to include it.

GMB map pack: What triggers images coming up in map pack on SERP?

Hi @Mindquest You've touched on the answer. It is category based. I've also seen it fluctuate on categories, so I'm thinking this is one of those things Google tweaks and tests. Broadly speaking, it appears the main variation is services vs product businesses (as in, services don't have...

    New "Choose area" feature?

This will be an interesting feature to research. Unlike Josh, I have seen it in Australia. Even when using branded searches.
