Hey Guys
I just can't seem to make progress with the local SEO ranking of my site and I am now ranking higher for the organic phrase than in the local finder!
I think the problem is citations and the fact that 3 months ago we changed address... I have cleaned up the NAP everywhere I can though...
Thanks. I deleted it from GMB. However, it's not in Map Maker. I think this is because I did not check 'I serve customers at my address'...?
So that should be it gone? I'll contact GMB support to explain too...
Ah switching the G+ over to a brand page is a good idea...
The only other concern I have is that the address will still be listed in various places online - including on the website itself (it is required to be for licensing). So would this interfere with the Google's perception of the...
Yes - they are both 'mortgage broker' businesses (tagged as this category on Google Plus) but one is targeting a very niche mortgage product, the other a more generic local mortgage service.
Thanks
Hi Guys
I have 2 service based businesses that operate out of the same address and I'm looking for advice as to how to set this up so that they don't 'clash' with each other and one doesn't 'cost' the other SEO juice...
The businesses are:
(1) A local business, that only services the local...
Hey Guys
How important is setting up the latitude/longitude on your site (using the schema)?
I find that some sites (which have PINs) don't quite get the exact same point anyway, so will have slight differences so I am thinking either 1 of the 2 statements is true:
1. Latitude and...
Hey Guys
So I run a business where the hours I keep are variable and generally speaking I am available by phone 24/7. Should I just put this to 24/7 in Google My Business?
My concern with setting fixed hours is that I'll have to do so everywhere to be consistent so 2 questions really:
Is...
Thanks. The reason I was thinking is that I have read in a few places that the % of pages on your site that are indexed might be an SEO factor.
For example, if your site has 200 pages and only 100 indexed - then this 50% ratio might impact your SEO.
Of course, in my case, it isn't a huge...
Hey Guys
More of a SEO question than local SEO but this forum is so good I thought I'd just post it here ;)
Ok so let's say you have a page that is a complete duplicate of another page - you use it to split test headlines.
I have used a canonical ref to point to the original page. Do I also...
For anyone interested, I actually found Google guidelines on this at. These guidelines concur with the discussion held on this forum (see

"Individual...
^^ Great post! From the article you quoted, it seems that ranking at the same address is possible, as long as the website and business pages are unique (not the 'out-the-box' sites that some major brands give to their agents).
Ok I'm going to probably go ahead and use this address, on the assumption that Google has probably factored this into their algorithm regarding Realtors and Mortgage Agents... Unless anyone has anything else to add?
So I initially listed my business at a virtual office and did some very light citation work.
Having read that this was a bad idea in the long-run, I switched over and listed my home address instead (my company's at this time had a head office in Toronto). I did a little more citation work...
Hi Lee
Yes that sounds about right regarding a multi-startup business incubator. However, I don't think the shopping mall category will work - Google does have categories for mortgage brokers/realtors. What I'm wondering is if the Google algorithm takes into account that this type of business...
