    Thank you page coupled with email confirmation helps track conversions while a quick pop-up message is better for usability. At the same time, with pop-ups you risk the situation when a user has a device that cannot display them properly. So I vote for a separate page.

    I would do the same. Pick the most performing articles and update it. You woun't need to change the publishing date, as the page will be reindexed after being renewed. Google loves this sort of updates. Regarding your idea to change URLs, it's a big no-no, because you ruine all the page...
