I've never seen this feature before and it seems like a novelty.

Away mode in business profiles.

We all understand the pressure associated with responding to messages on our profiles, striving to avert client frustration and to maintain an efficient average response time. Google is rolling out a feature that will streamline this task for us.

Thanks to the new "Away Mode" feature, the obligation to reply to messages at 8:00 AM on Sundays or 21:00 will no longer exist. We can now set an automatic response on our profiles to inform customers of our absence, and the lack of our immediate reaction will not contribute to the response time calculation.

Additionally, we have the option to turn off notifications for incoming messages during absence mode.

Check if this feature is already accessible, as it's being implemented in stages. Bear in mind the necessity to respond to messages within a 24-hour timeframe; otherwise, Google may deactivate our chat feature.
