CID linking or forwarding

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if you had an old GMB listing and had to establish a new one and now you want the juice and links, etc from the old one forwarded to the new one. How do you manually forward the old CID to the new one? What are the steps to do that?

Hi Sherm,

There's no way to manually do that. Google will do this on rare occasions for "moved" listings.

Can you tell us more about this specific issue? What are the details?

Hi Colan,

Well I was told that if you have an old CID, you can forward that to a new one and get it re-indexed so that you don't lose all the juice from the old one. Is that the case if the old one was deleted?

A user can't forward a Google domain. I'm not sure who told you that but it isn't possible. If this is possible, like in the scenario I mentioned, only Google could do it.

What is your situation? Did you have a listing get suspended?
