Driving directions (wrong BTW) to SAB that doesn`t have an address at all

This SAB for appliance repair dropped in rankings (for no obvious reason) about 2 months ago. While we’ve been trying to recover the positions, something interesting showed up. It’s an SAB so clearly it doesn’t have an address. However, if you look up associated services in Maps, the profile shows along with directions. The directions are wrong and lead to the wrong place, although still in the city. One more weird thing is that if you put the business name straight in Maps, it shows it is bonded to a different city that is in the service area but not where the business is located.


Is Google confused, and that’s why rankings dropped? And what’s happening anyway?

Are we talking a duplicate with shown address or literally the gbp, but showing an address that is displayed as hidden when you're in the GBP dashbaord?

The first is not a bug, but a frustrating situation all around, the second is a bug that can happen and which I've ran into several times.

We need to see the business name and the service you searched for to properly weigh in. Otherwise, we are either asking questions or giving inaccurate answers.
