I have a client whose law firm name keeps being changed for 4 locations either by google or by a competitor. for each location they are registered within the county for the fictitious business name aka DBA. This is their public-facing name. Over the last two weeks these 4 locations have reverted back 3-4 times each. Firm Name is: <law partners' names> Injury Lawyers. Google/competitor keeps updating it to <law partners' names> , e.g. Smith Smith. Has anyone else seen this?
- Would activating Whitespark's service to prevent public changes to profile help?
- Any risk of profile suspension with our changing it back to the DBA name repeatedly?
-Has anyone ever had a client's profile suspended with the use of Brightlocal or Whitespark's auto-correct services for any Google/user changes to your GBP?

I know it's a lot of questions but would appreciate anyone sharing their experience. Thank you.

No citation service can lock or prevent name changes. All Whitespark can do is email when an edit is accepted. Are you using any third-party tools to manage citations? I am noticing an uptick in suggest an edits being denied, so I doubt it's a competitor.

We use Semrush's Yext package. Would that be able to reverse a name edit?
We also use Brightlocal for citations.

Also, just checked and this is happening for at least 6 locations, might be more, still checking. Feels like an attack. What could be causing this at this scale?
