Google filters out results in the hotel pack to favor a specific brand

Hello dear Local Search Forum members.

I have a client in the Loddgying business, and when doing a search like: extended stay hotel northwest houston, google prefilters the result to favor the Brand "Extended Stay America" (see image below). So for this query Google only shows results for Extended Stay America Brand. Does anybody know what could be happening? Why is Google favoring that brand? Thanks in advance.

... what else do you expect to happen if you search for a keyword that is also an exact match for a brand?

@JS Girard thank you. I searched for "extended stay hotel northwest houston", I did not search for "Extended Stay America"
