Hi SEO family,
I’m currently working with a landscaping company in the Dallas, TX area. The business originally started as a turf-only installation company, but has since expanded to offer a wider range of outdoor living services.
When I attempt to update their Google Business Profile categories (e.g., fence contractor, tree service, etc.), the changes keep getting rejected. At the moment, the website content is still heavily focused on turf installation, which I suspect may be contributing to the issue.
Based on some research, it seems that building out dedicated website content for these additional services first may help with category approval. Has anyone experienced this, or can confirm whether aligning on-site content before updating GBP categories improves approval rates?
Thanks in advance for any insight.
