Google Plus page no longer required to post Google reviews

It's been almost 4 years, but Google's gone back to letting you write a review with just a general Google or Gmail account (and not necessarily a Google Plus page):

Sure, it's a even easier to write fake reviews now, but at least it's not as frustrating for the legitimate reviewers.

This is definitely good news for businesses - much easier to get reviews now than requiring that additional step of joining Google+.

I'm assuming it is also part of Google's push to increase their Local Guides as well, which they certainly seem to be pushing quite a bit lately.

Already did In fact, it wasn't so bad this time. Very minor tweaks. The update in November was much more of a pain, as were a couple other times in the lifespan of Google Plus reviews, with the constant tweaks.

Hey, why roll out Google Plus once when 5 times will do?
