Hi Team,

I've submitted appeals on 03/01/2025 with proof attached for several suspended listings and haven't heard back from support, despite reaching out to them to get a status update. I keep getting general responses from GBP support via email that they are looking into it and that they will reach out as soon as the process is complete. Their Google help docs says that this process will take up to 5 business days but that doesn't seem to be true.

Also, these listings did not violate GBP guidelines in any way as well, which makes this a bit more frustrating. Does anyone have an idea of how long does this process unusually takes based on your experience? Are there any other steps I should do to escalate this?

Best,

Daniel Lira

There is currently a huge delay in appeals. 3-4 weeks is currently normal waiting time. You can confirm the status of your appeal (to confirm it actually got submitted) by visiting this link. Unfortunately, there is no way to speed up the time it takes right now for Google to review it.

I'm in the same camp. I have a couple of suspended profiles that are not in violation. I submitted the appeal along with the proof they require. My appeals are currently at 30% / Submitted and have been at this status for more than one month. When I reach out to support they are no help. They give me a boilerplate response. It would be nice if they were forthcoming and just said they are backlogged by 30-or 60 days but they like to play their "Google Games" and give a nothing-no-help-reply.

And they may not even approve the appeal. Their AI tools may well reject and you have to start all over again.

Hello all,

Back with an update, after 3 weeks, 90% of my suspended listings are back. It's a bit irritating since none of the listings broke Google's guidelines in any way. Now I'm getting category updates declined right off the bat.

Their GBP algorithm is worse than it has ever been when it comes to fighting against spam, it seems like it targeting everyone with no reason. At this time It feels like we're walking on egg shells when it comes to making any minor change to the GBP listing, fearing that the listing will get suspended again.

I feel you on the walking on egg shells comment, I am waiting on making major edits to all my client profiles, whenever possible, for the foreseeable future for this exact reason :/
