How to take down a listing without reverifying it

Hello,
We have a law client who is insistent we don't send any more GMB verification postcards to their office. They have two listings for the same location, but one listing has an extra partner and the other doesn't. Google refused to merge them, because they kept thinking they were different businesses. We marked the one we don't want as permanently closed, but that caused Google to not allow any of our edits and wanted reverification. I've reported the listing on other accounts, but so far it hasn't worked. I know it seems silly, but is there a way to get this listing taken down without reverifying?

The only option would be to merge it or have Google mark it as moved which is something that GMB support needs to do. If the listing is currently verified by someone else, you have to get access to it first for this to happen.
