Recently Joy had a webinar with Brad Wetherall and it was mentioned that SABs can just use their customer address to get verified (especially if the customer lives in the service area but the SAB home address is outside the service area).

My question: If the SAB uses their customers address (its hidden) and Google uses it as the centroid of your serviceable area, if you build citations using your home address (the customer doesn't care), will your centroid move?

I've never done any testing, wondering if anyone has. My fear is that Google will update the SAB centroid based on the NAP found across the citations built and from data aggregators. Thereby losing 3-pack/map rankings by using a different physical address.

My hope is that because it is not necessarily the same as the storefront "pin" business that Google won't update the centroid because there is no physical address being displayed.

Wish I could have asked Brad during the webinar, maybe someone at SterlingSky could shoot a message to Brad
