Precursor - Have been trying to get a client site indexed for over 2 months. Also, client cannot get GBP video verified (has submitted multiple video attempts).

Having an issue I've never seen in probably 200+ sites submitted to search console / Google indexing. Submitted a site to Google Search Console for the first crawl back on July 4th and the site is still not indexed. Usually our sites are indexed within 24 hours if not sooner, even with newly registered domains. This IS a newly registered domain within the past year (probably about 8 months ago).

*Submitted verification for the entire domain, so as usual Google tried to crawl and index the non www. and non SSL versions first (these have always been properly 301'd to the https://www. version of the site). We also have the proper homepage canonicalized. All redirects are clean, site is free of malware, etc.

*We did use AI to help write the content, as it's a slightly new concept for a cosmetic dental office. However, we edited and humanized everything as best we could for actual human beings. Also, some of the images were from the client's previous business/dental practice that she sold. They have since been removed from that website and uploaded to this new one. We also placed a link from the old practice's website to the new one, but that has since been removed from the purchasing business owner.

We've built links to the site from our own website, as well as Facebook/Instagram/YouTube which all have a pretty good presence. Have also verified Yelp, but have been unable to get Google Business Profile verification complete for months as well... However, I'm assuming this issue is relative to the building being a multi-practice location with Suite #s. When starting verification it suggests a different dental practice up front. Have multiple support tickets open and trying to work through this separate issue too...

Anyone have any helpful tips or run into similar situations lately??? I'm completely stumped.

All looks OK. Page speed is very low which Google might not like. You also use cloudflare which apart from being unnecessary can block Google.

Try turning off Yoast and deleting the sitemap. And check you haven't still got the discourage indexing checkbox checked.

I'd also redirect the www to the non-www, Google seems to prefer this.

A search for 'www.haracosmeticdentistry.com' and Google says: 'These are results for hera cosmetic dentistry'. Which might also be an issue.

Or it could just be Google's extensive use of AI to do everything deciding your site isn't worthy of indexing.

Does your GSC say anything?

What happens if you run some Google Ads?

Thanks again for taking a look! A few quick notes on your items:

  • Pagespeed - We run Wordpress + Elementor which aren't the fastest, however some FlyingPress magic tends to do the trick. We typically install after indexing as I don't want any resources blocked for the initial crawls (maybe pointless in this scenario...)
  • Discourage indexing checkbox is unchecked - Generally the 1st place I look
  • Cloudflare - Unfortunately have to run for CNAME flattening because of hosting. Have about 100+ sites DNS routed thru Cloudflare with no issues previously. It's also just DNS and aren't 'proxied' via Cloudflare
  • GSC says absolutely nothing, other than the non-indexing. Sitemaps are crawled with "Success" status, 14 pages discovered. - Only other thing is that the non-ssl and non-www versions were "crawled currently not indexed (they are 301'd), so I tried submitting a validation Jul 28. Their validation reads as "Started" but has been stuck there for weeks.
  • Have been running Google Ads for about 2 months already.
Will try the other recommendations you have and see if anything works.
