Would love to know what people's experiences have been like with Brightlocal's active sync.
How's their external change alert and does their interface make it easy to reject these changes without having to log into GBP?
Also wondering if there's any risk of account suspensions due to having active sync change info via their API.

Thanks in advance!

As long as the information in BrightLocal is correct and matches the information you have in the GBP, I do not see any reason active sync would be a problem.

@Jenny_BrightLocal any insights you can share here?

Hey @ceeze

Our Active Sync tool is designed to keep your listings accurate and consistent, and we’ve seen great results across the board.

Our external change alerts notify you right away if there is a change or update to your info, and you can accept or reject those changes directly in BrightLocal – no need to log into GBP.

And just to reassure you, there’s no risk of suspension from using Active Sync. We work through Google’s official API, so all updates are fully compliant with their guidelines.

That said, account suspensions can still happen if a listing itself violates Google’s guidelines (e.g., spammy business names, virtual offices, prohibited categories). But the use of Active Sync itself doesn’t cause suspensions.

You're welcome to get in touch with our support team if you have any further questions or want to find out more. They'll be happy to help. Just drop them an email support@brightlocal.com Thanks!
