Please, please can someone work with me to truly determine the reason for a qualified business that is suspended, and a legit qualified document from the list of eligible documents is used in the appeal comes back with this canned generic email response from Google -
"
Thank you for contacting the Google Business Profile team.

We checked your account and it appears like your Business Profile isn’t eligible to display on Google because it violates the GBP quality guidelines."

There are only so many fields on a GBP, the documents I submit are on the list of eligible documents to submit.

When you read the quality guidelines, they are pretty clear as to what is acceptable and what is not on a GBP and how it should be setup.

So what other factors (especially of not a element on the GBP itself) is the cause of continuously getting this generic statement in an email after an appeal.

I need to know the reason so I can correct whatever the issue(s) may be. All the GBPs I have managed are legit businesses, nothing is a lead gen or not registered business.

So any insight would be greatly appreciated as it is so frustrating to have to continuously deal with this and truly not know the problem.

And if ask what the issue is they just reply back with the same canned reply. So asking them gets me no where.

Thanks

It’s extremely difficult to tell you what to fix when we can’t see the details of your GBP. It could be several things:
1. A salesy business description
2. Having service areas over two hours from your location
3. Incorrect business hours
4. Address entered incorrectly, ie you didn’t put suite on line two
5. Improper naming

You didn’t mention what documents you submitted when you applied for reinstatement. You could be denied because you didn’t submit enough or the proper documentation.

That list from @keyserholiday is great! I'll add:

6. Service areas overlapping with another profile
This applies only to multi-location businesses with multiple profiles.

7. Phone number used on another profile
Google doesn't seem to mind a toll-free number used on multiple locations, but if the same number is used on two different businesses (which happens with entrepreneurs running multiple small businesses), that's a problem.

Thanks Guys!

I only use documents that are on the list of eligible documents per Google's documentation.
I always make sure the business description follows the guidelines as well, no claims, no sales talk, no superlatives, etc.
Business hours, always make sure they are legit and not set to 24/7 unless truly a business that is open for hours like that, such as towing, emergency hvac, etc.
Address, yes same always double check it.
Business name - always make sure it is the legit business name - I have told clients - no extra wording/phrases will be accepted.
As for documents - only other one I have attempted with is a lease for a commercial property but I cant say those were denied.
  • Official business registration
  • A business license
  • Tax certificates
  • Utility bills for the business such as:
  • Electricity
  • Phone
  • Cable
  • Internet
I do not see this option (https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7427125016582045696/) when checking a status - but I am also using an agency account so I just search the name and see the status in the dashboard then use the appeal tool.

____
For this - "Service areas overlapping with another profile"
This is good to know, but the list of cases I am looking to solved are single location businesses, but will keep this in mind, thanks!

For this - Phone number used on another profile, when I have seen this in the past for a multi-location customer, I will tell them the name can be the same, but the address and phone number should be different.
Thanks - this is good to know as well *Google doesn't seem to mind a toll-free number used on multiple locations

So with everything I have answered with, it is still not clear. Are there external factors outside of the GBP that would cause this canned reply to be continued to be sent?
