Lots of questions coming in on Maps

We are seeing a question a week come in for 3 restaurants we manage. And all out of no where.

They come in about once a week from people who aren’t even close to the area of the business.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I wonder if the spammers are trying to level up their profiles. When I look at the fake review profiles, they have left at least three answers. For some reason they love experimenting in restaurant and hotel GBPs.

We manage a chain with 15 locations and we started getting the questions about 2-weeks ago. Definitely more frequent than at any other period. It's interesting these questions have all been well formatted and tend to revolve around vegan options, accessibility, parking and special offers. In the past the Q&A that would come in was broken sentences and more reviews than actual questions.
