Hi:
We have a client medical practice who started out way back when as a single practitioner.
As the practice expanded and added more doctors, he created his own GBP profile, and for 5 years now, the practice GBP page and his page co-existed. Of course, sometimes people mention providers in the review for the practice itself, including this doctor.
About a month ago, it appears Google moved the ones for this doctor from the practice profile to his profile, then closed the practice GBP. Poof ... gone. Business that has been around for 20 years now looks like it is brand new.
We created a new practice and have been working with support (4th time now) to try to get the reviews back.
My question is: is there anything in particular that could have caused this to happen after 5 years? Or is it just something random someone at Google saw and decided in do something about. (Even though it also killed a bunch of non provider related reviews.)
My concern is that a competitor saw it and complained, and the person at Google didn't realize what they were actually doing.
