More reviews by employees removed over the weekend

Over this past weekend, a LOT of reviews posted by employees were removed from Google Business Profiles in the senior care industry. We wrote our own lost review detection tool and it reported a lot of removals like that. In almost all cases, the wording in the reviews made it clear that they were left by employees (or by people claiming to be employees) and there was a mix of both favorable and unfavorable reviews removed.

Been seeing a TON of missing review threads on the GBP community forum, not just ones from former employees! Seems to be more than normal. Since you have access to that awesome tool, can you tell us, have you been seeing more reviews removals recently compared to the past few months/year?

They all have been employee reviews, from what I recall.

Whoops, I spoke too soon. We're now seeing a higher than normal number of legitimate favorable customer reviews being removed, too.

Google is aware of the missing reviews issue and working on a fix to restore eligible reviews. Despite that, your best bet is to contact support here and ask them to restore all missing reviews. Try to give them the exact number of missing reviews and if you have it, any screenshots, user names or review text you may have.
