Since I'm in Quebec, i do not have access to AI Mode and I cannot trick Google into giving it to me at all. My boss is asking me questions about it, but I can't really answer because the articles I've seen have never actually included good, extended images/videos/gifs that would allow me to properly comprehend how it compares to the regular results.

Anyone can point me to articles with proper visual demonstration?

It's really just like ChatGPT or Gemini. You ask a question (prompt) and you get a answer. Sometimes it's ok but mostly for general searches you are better off with boring old Google.

It looks like this:

And you then get this:

Nothing special to write home about.

A lot depends on the type of question. It's not bad if you (for example) want a summary of a book but wikipedia is better. If you want lists it can generate something but is often wrong or misleading.

The search I made was less useful than a standard google search as there were no maps, reviews etc.

I've been testing loads of different AI tools and not yet found one that is consistently accurate and useful.

What I often do is ask one then get a second to fact check the response. The end result is weird. A bit like when you used to do a translation and then ask Google to translate it back again.

Hah! I feel you, even though my own usage is rarely for professional testing purposes. The vaguer my question is, the more likely I am to ask multiples LLMs at the same time to improve my chances (usually Copilot, Gemini and ChatGPT). One recent experiment was me trying to remember a particular phrase, and tbh I wasn't expecting any of them to get it, but Copilot surprised me:

(I normally get annoyed at LLMs' use of emojis, but that one is by far the most thematically and tonally appropriate I've ever seen)

Gemini and ChatGPT for comparison:
