Hi all,
Looking for advice before I contact GBP support.
What happened:
- The business relocated from Gladstone Park VIC to Sunbury VIC 3429 (about 30 km away).
- The address on the profile was updated to the Sunbury address on 11th Sep and is hidden from customers.
- The profile was suspended in august and reinstated on [date].
- The website homepage (linked from the profile) has been updated to reflect Sunbury.
The issue:
Since reinstatement, the profile still only shows in Maps for searches made around Gladstone Park and nearby suburbs. It does not appear at all for searches made in Sunbury, including "plumber sunbury". Before the suspension it showed around position 10 for Sunbury searches.
It looks like Google may still be using the old Gladstone Park location for the pin behind the scenes, even though the address in the profile has been changed.
My questions:
1. Does Google keep using the old geo-location for a hidden-address SAB after an address change? If so, is there a way to check where the pin is actually set?
2. Is this normal after reinstatement, and roughly how long does it usually take for visibility to settle?
3. Is it worth contacting GBP support to confirm and update the pin, or could another request so soon after reinstatement risk a re-suspension?
4. Is there anything else I should check on the profile?
Also since the new address was verified recently, is adding address back to profile ok? or it needs reverification?
