It's not just one site but dozens of sites so far.

Essentially, a "uplinke_com" has created 5 links for each site.

What we're seeing is that they have 5 subdomains, and each one links to the clients' website:***************

My GUESS is that they're doing this so that the new link will hopefully show up in a report like ahrefs, ubersuggest or other link tracking type website. The site owner will then be curious as to what it is, click the link and then browse the "uplinke" website to potentially purchase SEO services from as they claim "one of the most trusted SEO service provider(s)" :)

Not sure if others are seeing it yet, but it just started happening for us a couple of days ago. I thought it was a fluck and maybe the company was monitoring newly registered domains and then linking them, but we're now seeing these links on domains established many years ago.

A new spammy way for an "SEO Company" to get clients.
Well it looks like on the latest round today they're now using 25 different subdomains. Surely this can't be the best way for them to get leads :)
Getting the same thing. Do any of you use Brightlocal?

I have a master disavow list if anyone would like to use it. Just DM me.

Here are the ones hitting my sites:
I used to use Brightlocal, but haven't in quite some time.
Most of the backlinks we're seeing are from domains that we never entered into BrightLocal.
One was domain that was registered only 30 days ago.
